King Edward VII: 1d. comprehensive collection of pin varieties neatly written up in a Safe album, with examples of all the eighteen recorded types from sheets and with the various states (up to six) of the types, each illustrated with an enlarged picture of the variety, mainly used singles (344, a few perfinned) with a number of examples of some, incl. the only recorded examples of pins 11 and 17, the two known of pin 14 (two states), and two of pins 1 (one perfinned) and 2 (less than 5 of each recorded), pin 12 (plate 9) also with an example on postcard and mint ''C'', C4'', ''D4'' (2), ''E5'' (3), ''E6'' (2) and ''F6'' (2) control pieces with various perf. types, also pin varieties (6) from the two types recorded on booklet stamps, the collection also includes the rare retouches on used 1d's with fourteen types from sheets, two with two states, and one from booklets with both De La Rue and Harrison printings, a few with faults but mainly fine, a remarkable research collection.

King Edward VII: 1913(c.) 1d. sample printed in blue by Bruckmann of Munich, imperf. on gummed zig-zag watermarked paper similar to that used for Bavarian issues, the image is slightly larger than the issued stamps, presumed to be for the intention of tendering for a G.B. stamp contract, two examples, one marginal, fine and unusual. Brandon certificate (2007) for a full sheet of 25.
