Revenues of Portugal and Colonies – The John Dahl Collection

Grosvenor is pleased to announce the forthcoming sale of the superlative collection of the Revenues of Portugal and its Colonies formed by John R.G. Dahl, FRPSL.

This auction brings to the market the largest and most comprehensive specialised collection of revenues since the Thill collection sold by Robson Lowe in the 1970s. The collection has won multiple prizes including three Large Gold medals awarded at London 2000, Madrid 2000 and Belgium 2001 for its exhibit of the ‘Revenues of the Kingdom of Portugal 1862–1910’. It has been described as “fifty years of collecting the best”.
