The Specialised Great Britain auction held at Grosvenor on October 29th-30thexceeded expectations, producing a final sale total of £534,448.
Interest was well spread throughout the major collecting areas and the usual strong response to the opening section of Collections & Mixed Lots resulted in most lots comfortably exceeding their estimate.

The James Teron collection of Tonga offered at Grosvenor in the British Empire & Foreign Countries sale on September 24th and 25th attracted great interest and strong results. An auction of over 1,400 lots including the exceptional collection of Queen Victoria SPECIMEN stamps formed by Sir John Purcell, 1840 Mulready Caricatures and Propaganda Envelopes from the Richard Hobbs FRPSL Collection, the Brian Asquith FRPSL collection of Wakefield Postal History and the comprehensive Rodney Gudger collection of 1971 Strike Post offered intact.
The June auction week at Grosvenor produced a highly satisfactory total of £708,989.
