This strip is illustrated in “Telegraph & Telephone Stamps of the World” by S.E.R. Hiscocks. The stamps were prepared and used by the Reuters Agent in Matabeleland, Capt. C.L. Norris-Newman to keep track of payments for messages carried from Bulawayo. The service was made generally available to the public to offset costs, but naturally had a limited life.
