| Sale number: 38 The Vivien Sussex Collection of Express Mail: Express Mail From Abroad: Switzerland: 1918 (April 23rd) legal sized envelope from Switzerland to Kidderminster, franked by Swiss adhesives and GB K.G.V. 21/2d (x12 = 2s.6d.) and with three strikes of boxed ''EXPRESS FEE PAID 3''. Switzerland wanted the same service as Great Britain of paying 2s.6d. to speed the letter through the Censor office, has typewritten ''Care of the Censor of Urgent Matter/London E.C.'', very rare. Photo. In July 1915, following bitter complaints of commercial delay due to slowness in the censor's office, a new service at a fee of 2s.6d. was introduced to 'express' mail to neutral countries.
