2667 | Sale number: 51 Nine Pence Plating Pieces: 1902-10 De La Rue Chalky Paper: Head Plate 1, Duty Plate 1: 9d. slate-purple and ultramarine (shades), a reconstructed complete Post Office sheet of eighty, comprising four complete panes of twenty, A, B, C and D, pane A with head plate cut over R1/1, pane B R1/1 and R4/1 each showing cracks in left frame line and R4/2 with malformed ''T'' (appearing as a ''7'') in ''POSTAGE'', pane C R3/5 shows distorted ''d'' in SW tablet, the stamps mainly exceptionally fine and fresh unmounted mint (mounted in margins), Pane B with five stamps creased and pane C about seven stamps with slight foxing on gum and slight gum creasing, pane D with fox spot on gum of one and trace along perfs. at right between stamps and margin, none affecting the very fine appearance, an almost certainly unique assembly.
