Stefan Heijtz Saint Helena: World War I: 1916 (Nov. 20) ''PASSED/40/CENSOR'' circular handstamp type 3 in blue, double strike overstruck by St. Helena type 5 despatch c.d.s. on envelope to South Africa, redirected from East London to Venterstad, franked by War Tax 1916 1d.+1d. Very rare, Mabbett notes ''One copy of this censor mark is known on a cover to South Africa, with a second example being struck on a cover from South Africa to St. Helena, so it is possible that this censor mark was applied in South Africa rather than St. Helena'', the doubt over usage disproved by the placement of the markings on this cover.
