We are pleased to announce that the 3% surcharge for internet bidding has been removed and the system is now free to use . While sale room attendance is still very much encouraged with complimentary refreshments provided and a relaxed social atmosphere encouraged, we hope that the removal of the 3% surcharge will prove welcome news to those who prefer the convenience and anonymity that live bidding provides.
Work to replace the lift to our offices is due to begin on January 24th and will continue during the auction period. Access to our 3rd Floor offices will be BY STAIRS ONLY and we ask clients to bear this in mind if they are planning to visit. It is anticipated that these works will be completed by the beginning of April.
Constanze Dennis has returned safely from ‘manning’ the Grosvenor table at the York Stamp & Coin Fair held on 17-18 January at the York Racecourse where she enjoyed the opportunity to meet and chat with many of our clients.
Consignments are currently being accepted for our April Great Britain and May British Empire Sales with some early highlights including the Malcolm Barton collection of Tasmania Pictorials, whilst a strong section of Falkland Islands & Antarctica will include rare material from the Ralph Riddell-Carre collection of postal history.
