The letter was not mailed through the courier service of the city of Cologne, but through the Imperial Taxis Post who endorsed it ''Pta'' and the date. The amount due is not mentioned as for the nobility a total amount was calculated once a month by the Taxis Postmaster. A rare item, one of the earliest known from the 'Reichsgebeit'. Photo.
